# Ashby

> Our Ashby integration allows you to seamlessly connect jobs, candidates, and matches to Alex, syncing data between both platforms. This integration helps you automate interview invites and streamline your recruitment workflow.

### Step 1: Retrieve and Enter Your API Key

1. Log into **Ashby** using an **Admin account**.
2. Navigate to **Admin → API Keys → + New**.
3. Create a new API key with **Read All** and **Write All** permissions.
4. Copy the generated API key.
5. In the **Alex web app**, go to **Settings** (left-hand navigation; only Alex admins have access).
6. Under **Settings**, open the **Integrations** section and select **Ashby**.
7. Paste the API key and click **Test Connection**.
8. If successful, click **Connect** to save your credentials.

### Step 2: Configure Automations

After connecting Ashby, you can enable automations to streamline your recruiting process:

* Candidate Invites: Automatically invite candidates to complete an Alex interview after they apply to an open role in Ashby.
* Interview Creation: Automatically create Alex Interviews when a job is added or updated in Ashby. This is ideal for **high-volume or high-turnover roles** where speed is critical.
