# Lever

Connecting Alex with Lever helps you automate your hiring process by keeping your candidate records in Lever updated throughout the interview lifecycle. This integration saves you time by handling administrative tasks automatically.

### Key Features

* **Automated Interview Invites**: When a new application is created in Lever, Alex automatically sends an interview invitation to the candidate. A note is added to the candidate's opportunity in Lever to confirm that an invite has been sent.
* **Interview Results in Lever**: Once an interview is completed, Alex updates the candidate's opportunity in Lever with the following actions:
  * Adds a note containing the interview score, detailed feedback, and a link to the full report.
  * Attaches a PDF of the interview report to the opportunity.

### How to Set Up the Integration

You can connect your Lever account in just a few steps.

1. **Connect to Lever**
   * In Alex, navigate to **Settings > Integrations**.
   * Select **Lever** from the list of available integrations.
   * Click **Connect to Lever**.
   * You will be redirected to Lever to enter your credentials and authorize the connection.

2. **Configure Webhooks in Lever**
   * In your Lever account, navigate to **Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks**.
   * Enable both the **Application Created** and **Candidate Stage Change** webhooks.

### Customize Your Integration

All automation, such as determining which candidates get invited or what happens after an interview, is configured in your [application workflow](/workflows/overview).

#### Adjusting who gets invited

By default, an interview invitation goes out when a new application is created in Lever. Refine this with a **Filter** condition on the new-application block -- for example, only invite candidates who are in a specific Lever stage, so only qualified individuals receive an invitation.

#### Customizing actions in Lever

At different points in the interview process you can add Lever actions to your workflow -- for example, on the **Interview Completed** trigger or a decision change. Available actions include:

* Updating an opportunity's stage.
* Creating a note containing the interview score and report link.
* Attaching the interview report to the opportunity.
