Overview

Alex integrates with TeamTailor through Kombo, our unified integration provider. Connecting is self-serve — no credentials to request from TeamTailor support. A single connection covers both directions:
  • Jobs and applications sync into Alex. New jobs in TeamTailor automatically appear in Alex, where your job workflow configures them into interviews; new applications enter your application workflow (for example, automatically inviting each applicant to an interview).
  • Interview results sync back to TeamTailor. Your workflows can move applications between pipeline stages, post notes, upload the Alex interview report as an attachment, and add a link to the Alex report on the candidate’s record.

Key Features

Automated Job Import

When a job is created in TeamTailor, Alex imports it and runs your job workflow — generating an interview template from the job’s title and description. Use the New Job from ATS trigger node in your job workflow to configure which TeamTailor fields (including custom fields) populate the job title, description, and jobs-list columns, and use Filter by Job nodes to route different kinds of jobs to different interview templates.

Manual Job Import

You can also import a single job on demand: when creating a job in Alex, choose Import from ATS and paste the TeamTailor job ID. This option appears once the Kombo connection has finished its first sync.

Automated Interview Invites

When a candidate applies in TeamTailor, Alex picks up the application, creates the candidate, and fires the New Application trigger in your application workflow — typically inviting the candidate to an interview by email or SMS. Resumes attached in TeamTailor come across with the candidate, so resume-fit scoring works for TeamTailor-sourced applications.

Write-Backs to TeamTailor

Workflow action nodes let Alex update TeamTailor as candidates progress: Filter by Application and Filter by Job nodes can branch on any standard or custom TeamTailor field, so write-backs run only when your conditions match.

Step 1: Connect TeamTailor via Kombo

  1. In Alex, go to Settings → Integrations and select TeamTailor.
  2. Click Connect. A Kombo-hosted connection page opens in a new tab and walks you through authorizing the connection against your TeamTailor account.
  3. Back in Alex, the TeamTailor card shows Syncing… while Kombo runs its first sync, then Connected. Job and application sync begins automatically once the first sync completes.
If the card shows Needs attention, the connection requires re-authorization — repeat the Connect flow or contact your Alex account team.

Step 2: Configure Your Workflows

  • Job workflow — add the New Job from ATS trigger. Its editor lets you choose which TeamTailor fields populate the job title, description, and location columns, and which jobs to import.
  • Application workflow — add the New Application trigger as the entry point. Every new TeamTailor application enters the workflow here.
  • Write-backs — add the TeamTailor action nodes (stage move, note, attachment, report link) wherever your workflow should update TeamTailor, e.g. after an interview completes or a decision is made.

Sync Behavior

  • Jobs and applications are polled every few minutes from Kombo’s synced copy of your TeamTailor data, so a brand-new job or application typically appears in Alex within minutes.
  • Alex stores TeamTailor’s own identifiers, so a job imported manually and the same job arriving via auto-import deduplicate to a single record.
  • Stage names in the Update Application Stage dropdown come from your open jobs’ pipelines; the stage must exist on the application’s job for the move to succeed. If the dropdown is empty, the field accepts a stage name typed by hand — most often that means Kombo’s first sync hasn’t finished or there are no open jobs to read stages from.
  • Interview decisions sync both ways. Map them in Settings → ATS Sync to advance or reject in TeamTailor from an Alex decision, or to update an Alex interview’s decision when a recruiter changes the stage in TeamTailor.
