How It Works
PII Transcription Cleaning runs automatically as part of the post-interview evaluation pipeline. After the interview ends and the transcript is finalized, Alex detects and replaces sensitive information with*****, preserving the original sentence structure so the conversation still reads naturally.
What Gets Redacted
Contact Information- Phone numbers, email addresses, social profile URLs
- Street addresses, city + ZIP/postal code combinations, and full mailing addresses
- Social Security Numbers, national ID numbers
- Driver’s license, passport, visa, green card, and work permit numbers
- Bank account numbers, credit card numbers, routing numbers
- Exact personal salary figures
- Medical record numbers
- Specific medical conditions tied to identity
- Genetic test information
- Religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity
- Political affiliation, disability or pregnancy disclosures, caste identification
- Exact date of birth and explicit age statements (years of experience are not redacted)
What Is NOT Redacted
- Company names, job titles, and role information
- Technical skills, experience, and education
- General geographic references (e.g., “I worked in Texas”)
- General business discussion
Enabling Transcription Cleaning
Go to Settings → Interviews, find the Transcription Cleaning toggle under the Candidate Experience section, and switch it on. Once enabled, all future completed interviews will have PII automatically redacted from their transcripts.Enabling this setting only affects interviews completed after the change. Previously completed transcripts are not
retroactively redacted.
